Victor Antofica
Maker of Tapelark
Hi there
I'm Victor, an independent software developer in Thalwil, Switzerland. I make Tapelark on my own: the app, this site, the support emails.
Why Tapelark?
Music apps, radio and podcasts come and go, and what you listened to goes with them. Tapelark keeps what your Mac plays as ordinary audio files in a library of your own — like recording to tape used to.
It is built on a few rules I don't bend:
- Your recordings stay on your Mac. No account, no telemetry, nothing uploaded.
- Private use, and no tricks. Tapelark uses only public macOS features and never gets around copy protection.
- Pay once. A licence is yours to keep, with a free trial first and fair, paid major upgrades.
Other things I make
- AngJobs — jobs from Hacker News's "Who is hiring?" threads, running since 2014.
- plain — the open-source, Git-native CMS this site runs on.
