System requirements

  • macOS 14.4 Sonoma or later
  • Apple silicon or Intel Mac
  • The AI features need macOS 15 or later, some of them macOS 26; Tapelark tells you when a feature is not available on your Mac

Installing

  1. Open the downloaded disk image and drag Tapelark to your Applications folder.
  2. Open Tapelark. A short welcome guide explains what it needs from macOS before macOS asks.
  3. Play something and click Test Recording.

Tapelark is signed and notarized by Apple, and it updates itself: you are asked before anything is installed.
