Record a web page's livestream, Picture in Picture, and Polish
Tapelark Pro records the livestream a page in Safari plays, now or on a schedule, and Picture in Picture; window videos carry a small "Clipped with Tapelark" mark; Tapelark speaks Polish.
If you own Tapelark Pro: window videos now carry a small "Clipped with Tapelark" mark, and it is on after this update. For a clean video, untick Corner mark in Record > Window Video > Format.
- Record Livestream: with Tapelark Pro and in the free trial, on macOS 15.2 or later, choose a Safari window in Record > Window Video and the Window card offers Schedule… and Record Livestream. Tapelark finds the stream the page plays and records its picture and sound into one movie, so the page need not stay in view. It also finds streams that a page's player loads by itself: Tapelark then opens the page privately in the background, muted, with none of your cookies or logins. It records free livestreams, such as a radio station's studio camera; a protected stream is never recorded.
- Scheduled livestreams: Schedule… records a page's livestream at a time you choose, once or on chosen days every week, listed under Scheduled Livestreams. Once it runs, it keeps trying until its end when the stream drops, ends early or moves to a new address, and the movie goes on where it stopped. Tapelark must be open and the Mac awake at the start time. The first time, macOS asks whether Tapelark may control Safari: Tapelark asks Safari only for the page's address and name.
- Picture in Picture: click Picture in Picture… in Record > Window Video to record a video playing in the small window that floats over everything, with the sound of the app that plays it.
- The corner mark: window videos, Picture in Picture and livestream recordings carry a small "Clipped with Tapelark" mark in the bottom-right corner. With Tapelark Pro you can untick Corner mark for a clean video, from the next recording on; in the free trial it stays on.
- Polish: Tapelark now speaks Polish, the user guide included, fourteen languages in all. Choose Polski under Settings > General > Language, or keep System to follow macOS.
- Radio: stations that stream with HTTP Live Streaming, which could only be played before, can now be recorded.
- Updates: from this version on, when you install an update, the download tells tapelark.com only whether your copy is a trial or a bought licence, nothing else: no key, no name, nothing about your Mac.
